Wisdoms @ Work
Natural brilliance: leading from within
Professional Development for Application aligns our deepest values with our life and work. Modules focus on applying the Five Wisdoms to our relationships, work and environment. Fieldwork projects are designed to bring our understanding into action.
-
Module I: Four Aspects of Authentic Relationships
-
In Module I we explore four aspects of authentic relationships: authentic presence, energetic exchange (felt sense of another), unbiased perception and wisdom activity. In the context of the Five Wisdoms, these aspects of authentic relationships help us cultivate skillful interactions with others – with an emphasis on not trying to change others, but seeing people more fully and accurately.
Learning how to see the energy patterns of others provides us a sense of how others shine and how they get stuck. The four aspects of authentic relationships help us work with different energy styles. Fieldwork projects are introduced.
-
Module II: Practicing Energetic Exchange and Unbiased Perception
-

During Module II, we continue to learn how to cultivate authentic relationships by engaging in a practice called Descriptive Presentations. We choose someone to connect with energetically and use three modes; body, speech and mind; to describe the individual very precisely. We avoid projection and interpretation. We become aware of the person’s quality, or essence, and way of acting in the world.
Unbiased Perception allows us to ‘enter’ another person’s world: we see him or her more clearly, and feel both his or her confusion and intelligence. Through greater understanding, we have the possibility of developing greater compassion for him or her.
-
Module III: Engaging Effectively
-
Continuing with authentic relationships, Module III focuses on wisdom activity, intuitively knowing what to do. Exercises continue to use the Five Wisdoms to develop skillful interactions with others. Acting in accord with the wisdom energies greatly benefits others and ourselves.
Exercises build confidence with time to reflect on how interconnected we are and how dynamic energy constantly changes. This final module moves participants toward an unbiased, transpersonal knowing, or intuitive understanding, of others, so they can tune into their environment and respond to the energy of the moment. Fieldwork projects are presented.
