Foundation for Personal Development provides the ground for how to apply the Five Wisdoms to any professional arena. Modules focus on deep personal work that help you understand the styles and qualities of the Five Wisdoms, both experientially and conceptually.

Module I: Understanding Our Unique Style

Energy is the basic element of our experience–body, emotions, thoughts and surroundings. The energies of both the outer, phenomenal world and the inner, psychological world can be experienced as five different patterns.
Each of us has the potential to express all the energies—spaciousness, clarity, richness, passion and activity—and can display different energies during different points in our lives.
During Module I, we engage in activities and develop greater familiarity with our mix of energies, so that we start recognizing our patterns and embrace all aspects of ourselves. Through a discovery of the way we perceive and interact with our world, we gain enormous insight into our patterns of behavior, emotions and relationships.

Module II: Deepening Our Experience of the Wisdoms

Each of the senses opens us to the five energies or fields of awareness – thus, each sense perception allows us to relate to the world in a different way.
In Module II, we deepen our experience by opening our senses and tuning into our psychophysical barometer. Exploring our senses allows us to experience a fullness of being, as well as appreciation for what is around us.
We explore individually and with peers the many ways to experience and express the energies: poetry, movement, sound, music, the elements, color and shape. We provide time to reflect on how we can interact with the world with creativity and wisdom.

Module III: Emotional Wisdom

Through an examination of our deeply rooted emotional fixations, we deepen our understanding of ourselves, as well as how we create our self referential version of reality. In Module III, we learn to welcome our emotions as a vivid display of energy. We discover that when we are most intensified, our wisdom is very close at hand. Compassionate exchange, or breaking down the barriers between self and others, is introduced.
Objectives
- Experience the five different energy patterns, or Five Wisdoms
- Familiarize ourselves with our own unique mix of energies
- Experiment with opening our sense perceptions and expressing the Five energies
- Explore habitual patterns, how we typically interact with the world: explore the relationship between wisdom and neurosis
